open water swim
Every monday in the summer the triathlon club has open water swims in
Little Campbell Lake. I don't have a wetsuit (couldn't find a rental
that fit) but deemed it warm enough for a dip after a hot day. ;-) I
ended up swimming pretty far out-- and next week if it's just as warm
I'd probably swim to the end. It was chilly at first but not even
numbing. I brought my camera out with me (it's waterproof!).

FINISH
I had a great race! I had a lot of fun and gave it everything I had--
I sure was happy to cross the finish line!!!

getting 1500 triathletes through the pool is no small feat! It was 3
to a lane, one after the other. I helped count laps for a few hours
before it was my turn to race.

Gorgeous morning for a ride!
This is on the trail along Northern Lights. My 4-mile ride takes me down a few roads with bike lanes, a bike path, some quiet neighborhoods and then a bumpy mad dash down Fireweed. It's bike to work week! Tomorrow is bike to work day!

flat tire
got a flat tire out here. I wouldn't have minded if it was earlier
but it was kinda late to be messing around with tires... so I put on
my flip flops and walked to Andrea's house. Gorgeous day today
though-- it got up to at least 65 degrees!

gorgeous all day and then just a spot of rain and a rainbow! Also
this was taken at 9:30-- gives you an idea of the daylight situation
these days.
