sunshine and blue sky

sunshine and blue sky, originally uploaded by aimos325.

The sun came out today!!! It's cloudy to the north, so I better get
out there while I can! Snapped this shot over my shoulder on the way
home.

sewing machine!!!!

sewing machine!!!!, originally uploaded by aimos325.

I bought a sewing machine at a garage sale today!!! I'm so pumped.
I just got it working-- I can thread the needle, wind the bobbin and
raise the thread and I even had to put the bobbin case (or whatever)
in correctly. I have used mom's machine but never had to know how to
do this hard stuff myself. So far so good! Ever seen anyone bike
across town with a sewing machine in their pannier?

why so serious?

Fwd: why so serious, originally uploaded by aimos325.

They're painting our office so the back door is taped off. While it
still lets in a lot of light it's been kinda dreary. One of the
painters painted a smiley face which was cute at first, but after a
week it's less cute. The office looks great though!

office plant progress

office plan progress, originally uploaded by aimos325.

That small one in the pot I started from a clipping. It keeps
sprouting new leaves!!! The other one has "rounded the corner" and is
making it's way around the cube. Actually, now that I posted this I
remember I didn't water them this week. :-( Gotta be hearty if
you're going to be my plant!

new paint

new paint, originally uploaded by aimos325.

We're getting a new paint job at the office. We were instructed to
park our cars with the rustiest side facing the building, just in case
the paint blows around. I parked my sweet ride inside the back door--
it got power washed yesterday!

That guy was working at the conference room window while we had a
meeting in there. Fun stuff.

crazy moose

crazy moose, originally uploaded by aimos325.

This moose was running around that tiny island. Looked like it was
chasing the birds. It was kicking and everything. Then in plowed
back into the water and swam to the other side. Weird happenings at
11 pm in Anchorage...

Exciting things in Nenana. They put that tripod in the ice on the

bike race

bike race, originally uploaded by aimos325.

Bike race around the block in Nenana on the 4th of July. The games
had cash prizes. Most of the events were "first place gets a dollar,
second place gets fifty cents and EVERYONE GETS A QUARTER!!!" I think
the bike race was $5 for first place. =-O

Denali National Park

Denali National Park, originally uploaded by aimos325.

The parents and I drove down to Denali National Park for the weekend.
We took an all-day bus ride into the park (you can't drive private
vehicles in). Here was a good shot of Denali. The pictures are in a
crazy order... We drove down on Friday, did the bus ride on Saturday,
and the kennels on Sunday...

Last glimpse of Denali. Right at the center of the picture is what
appears to be an extra white cloud... but it's the top of Mt.
McKinley!!! It's so much huger than the rest of the mountains!
