Frisbee
before we played polo we spent some time enjoying the sunshine! It
was 50 degrees and SO SUNNY in Fairbanks. No grass yet but we ran
around barefoot and I got a little bit of a sunburn. Felt awesome!
Here's Staci catching one-- it was too sunny to see the camera screen
so I only barely got this shot!

I brought my underwater camera but it was quite dark in the pool.
After the game we took some underwater group shots but we didn't use
my camera.

we weren't used to having a shallow end!
It was really great to play against new people and to shake up the
play a bit. The shallow end goal was taller than the deep end and the
goals were set behind the wall so nothing can float in!
Polo Tournament
This weekend a bunch of us in the UAA Water Polo Club drove up to
Fairbanks to play with the UAF club. We spent a few hours in the pool
on Saturday playing and showing them a few tricks. Their team isn't
as organized as ours but we're trying to help them out so we can have
a team to play with in the state!
This is Staci right after she threw the ball. I took pictures for a
game and got some really neat ones-- though lots of dark and blurry
ones too!

sleeping lady
hung out at the end of the runway for a bit. Took in the sights.
While I was there an evening fog rolled in across the inlet.

wearing my new booties/toe covers! I love these shoes-- they fit
perfect but only with very thin or no socks. And since the fronts are
made of mesh (for air flow) and even summer days can be pretty cool in
this neck of the woods, I decided these toe covers would come in
handy. Took a ride tonight and my toes felt great!

April Snowstorm
we got lots of snow today! Big, wet flakes. I don't really mind but
I would have preferred it a month ago (or more). At least it's
pretty!

ichat
I had a nice ichat with the folks and Walt. Dad told us he had skate
for dinner (the stingray kind of skate) so we all made our best skate
faces. (Check google images-- search: skate fish-- if you're
confused)
deck
I enjoyed a few beverages on the deck tonight. It was still quite
cold (35-ish?) but I bundled up (more than in this pic) and had a good
time just being outside and in the sun. It made for a good birthday!

This is the view from my back deck-- am I lucky or what!?! Guess I
won't be as lucky when the trees get their leaves!
Easter Lily
I LOVE Easter Lilies! Now that my sinuses are drained I can smell
them and they smell wonderful!
