I rarely look out the windows in the morning. Monday I was rushing around
(like usual) and I opened the door to leave and SURPRISE! 4-6 inches of
wet, heavy, new snow. It has made the ride in a little more interesting
than usual this week. The day it snowed it got into the mid-30's leaving a
crust over everything... a bike-tire-grabbing crust. I can't wait for
spring!

Do you mean you rode your bike to work in all that snow? Patience, spring has got to be right around the corner.
And you though Spring in Houghton was bad!
