Saturday Brian and I fished for pink salmon in Hope (we're not fish
snobs just yet!) and then headed down the Kenai Peninsula... we
camped in Soldotna and got up at 4:30 AM to go to the mouth of the
Kasilof River to go dipnetting for reds. You just stand in the ocean
near the river and hold the net. When a fish swims in you pull it to
the beach! It's that easy!*
*when the fish are there. Didn't see a ton of fish being pulled in.
:-\ We came home with just one. The personal use limit is 25 per
head of household.

That's a cool picture - I like the fog and the Sea Gulls...the gulls seem to be looking into the camera (ala. "The Office") saying "look at all those boneheads in the water".
25 wow! That's a load of fish! Is it only residents that can do that??
It was very foggy! Yeah, dipnetting is for residents only.
