I toured the GM Truck and Bus plant today! It was so cool! However,

they don't allow cameras in there so this is all I got. I like the

entrance, I think it harkens back to a different time...

I hope this shows up on everyone elses' computers... I saw this on

the way to work this morning. It was just after the sun came up and

there were some contrails in the east sky (this is looking west). My

first thought was that I was seeing a shadow of the clouds, as they

were between the sun and me. But it looks like it's getting smaller,

not wider... weird. Any ideas?

decided this is a plastic catchbasin. Never heard of them before.

The bottom is closed and there's a pipe entering on either side. Cool

So I changed some things around...

Since I lost the tool I had used to upload pictures, I was uploading pictures from blogger. The problem was that the pictures I was uploading were enormous (bloggerbot used to resize them automatically). So I'm trying out Flickr. Now, when you click on the picture to see a larger version, it will take you to Flickr. From there, you can find links to view or download a larger version.

I also made things wider-- it looks fine on my screen, but I don't know about yours, so let me know if it's really weird.

Well Blogger has killed BloggerBot.

This doesn't mean much to you guys-- I'll still be posting pictures but they may or may not be all the same size and they might not have that snazzy border around them. Oh how I enjoyed the consistency between posts. I am uncomfortable with this change but do not worry, I will keep posting.

here's a picture of downtown Flint at night. I took it from my dashboard. The reason I really like this one is because the light changed as the picture was being taken-- hence the red and green on AT THE SAME TIME! WOW!

In case you're wondering, my neighbor cut down a tree, mounted it on a pole and now it swings freely like a weathervane. In the summer they stack rocks under it (quite a feat to make it clear every branch) and in this winter they put lights on it. They call it "the mosquito." They're cool, no bones about it.
