It's days like these that make the cold and darkness totally worth it.
We had a few days of freezing fog, leaving behind a breathtakingly
gorgeous coating of frost/rime. This was taken at 3:44 pm but the
sunrise was just as pretty (another perk of the alaskan winter-- long
sunrises and sunsets!) Today the temperature rose about 15 degrees
and the wind picked up so most of the frost is gone. Now if we could
only get some more snow...

These are my favorite days in Michigan too - the cold, crisp, sunny days. Of course, I'd love to experience the Alaska variety too!!!
