tired pup
turns out I really enjoy having a very sleepy dog. :-) This is what
she looks like after a bike ride around the neighborhood-- wears her
right out! Makes me all the more impressed with the dogs in the
iditarod. Bentley does .5-1.5 miles at about 8 mph and she's done for
the day!

Mother's day
Found this oldie in my pictures. It's from Aloha State Park in 2007.
Think we look related? Love ya, Mum!

Gunsight
That's Gunsight Mountain-- visible from Eureka Lodge, which was my
turnaround point today... There's a notch in the top but it was kinda
hard to make out with the snow and the clouds today.
more neat plants
I thought these were neat too-- spent all winter buried in snow and
they still come out looking like this!
hardy flowers
I love flowers that last the winter-- even though they're brown these
brightened my day today.
my little monkey
Bentley jumped up the retaining wall and under the rail (last time she
tried a similar maneuver she smashed her head on a railing and it made
a gong noise, lol). She's such a cutie and she loves to explore!
first mosquito!
the first mosquitos of the year are so funny-- they're big but really
slow (like bees when it gets cold). I swear they hatch out of melting
snow-- not sure how they do it but they're pretty easy to outsmart :-)

"but I don't have to go!"
"but I don't have to go!", originally uploaded by aimos325.
Bentley's taken to just laying down on the deck when I let her out before bed. It's not a big deal when I wake up on weekdays but I sundays I wake up 2-3 hours later and I don't want anyone getting huffy around 8 am. I went out and made her pee (not so easy) and then praised her like crazy. Cripes.
