That's Gunsight Mountain-- visible from Eureka Lodge, which was my
turnaround point today... There's a notch in the top but it was kinda
hard to make out with the snow and the clouds today.

Bentley jumped up the retaining wall and under the rail (last time she
tried a similar maneuver she smashed her head on a railing and it made
a gong noise, lol). She's such a cutie and she loves to explore!

first mosquito!

the first mosquitos of the year are so funny-- they're big but really
slow (like bees when it gets cold). I swear they hatch out of melting
snow-- not sure how they do it but they're pretty easy to outsmart :-)

Bentley's taken to just laying down on the deck when I let her out before bed. It's not a big deal when I wake up on weekdays but I sundays I wake up 2-3 hours later and I don't want anyone getting huffy around 8 am. I went out and made her pee (not so easy) and then praised her like crazy. Cripes.

So ridiculously proud of Bentley tonight. Not just for passing her
Beginner Obedience class but because she's such a good dog! Good job,

Bentley was going bananas when I was leaving for the pool so I brought
her with (she goes a lot less bananas when she realizes we're going
for a car ride!). I made it worth it by taking her for a walk around
the high school (it's a big school!). She's such a good girl-- I'm so
in love!

of course break-up is totally worth it-- the days are getting longer
so fast and everyone knows summer's right around the corner! I caught
this cloudy sunset around 8:30 tonight (though the sun wasn't even
that low!)

ground is frozen, but things are melting! Slush, ice, water, gravel
and a winter's worth of garbage...
